The Job: The Quality Assurance Manager position reports to the Quality Director and interfaces cross-functionally with Medical & Scientific Affairs, Operations, New Product Development, and Sales. As a solutions-focused organization, we are looking for an individual with a consultative and resourceful mindset to optimize the partner and customer experience. Responsibilities: • Draft and align documentation including Specifications, CofA’s, SDS’s, Process Flow, Chain of Custody, and maintain all up to date vendor certification files • Maintain up to date technical documents (in Salesforce/Company Drive) ensuring version control • Review Technical product documents for comprehensiveness, accuracy and proper verifications • Oversee the Product Release SOP while evaluating supplier COAs vs. specifications to approve or refuse shipment of product. Ensure proper product verification has taken place. • Works with vendors to ensure compliance with cGMP, Regulatory and HACCP/HARPC compliance Manages Quality Assurance Associate(s); delegates, coaches, counsels and develops those individuals • Ensure proper Supplier Qualification and Approval takes place and is documented • Evaluate third party laboratory testing to support the verification of supplier product and specifications. • Evaluate supplier self-audits for supplier approval/re-approval. Capable of follow-up auditing. • Support investigation of customer quality concerns • Provide a high level of internal and external customer service support. Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years Quality Assurance experience in the nutritional, food, beverage, pharmaceutical or specialty chemical industries • Bachelor degree in nutrition, food science, biology, chemistry or related science required. • Prior management of at least 2 employees as direct reports • Knowledge of US and European GMP regulations for Food and Dietary Supplements and manufacturing cGMP experience. • Outstanding references from previous managers that will testify to communication skills, resourcefulness, energy, customer-focus, and integrity. • Strong project management, planning, organization, and communications skills. • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
